2026 Season: 8/19 - 10/21
Football registration open 6/8 - 9/4 and clearances are all done online via Final Forms
Athletes will need to be cleared & attend all initial 12 practices, with the first 3 practices are helmet ONLY, to be eligible for the first game.
Here is a look at what is happening during the first week:
- MONDAY, August 17: Gear checkout at BMS – There will be two gear checkout sessions: a morning session from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and an afternoon session from 1:OOPM – 2:00 PM. Any player that can’t attend gear checkout will receive their gear after one of the first 3 practices. Please see the map showing how players should enter the building at the back of the school.
- WEDNESDAY, August 19: First practice at BMS – Players should arrive by 5:15 PM so we can kick things off with a team meeting at 5:15 PM, followed by practice until 7:30 PM.
- THURSDAY, August 20: Second practice at THS – Players should arrive by 5:15 PM so we can kick things off with a team meeting at 5:15 PM, followed by practice until 7:30 PM.
- FRIDAY, August 21: Third practice at BMS – Players should arrive by 5:15 PM so we can kick things off with a team meeting at 5:15 PM, followed by practice until 7:30 PM.
Practices: The first week will be as shown above. A weekly communication will be sent Sunday night through Final Forms indicating important program information for the following week. When school starts, practices will occur Monday - Wednesday immediately after school ending at 5:00 PM.
Parent Meeting: Tuesday, August 25 at BMS in Room A34 from 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM
Attire: Players are responsible for providing their own football cleats, socks, girdle (5 pad integrated) and knee pads. Girdles, knee pads, and cleats are available if athletes need them. We are committed to Team Unity. This is not only about how we practice and treat each other on and off the field, but also the way we dress at practices and on gameday. We want praise and attention to be earned for our team by our shared successes on the field, not by players dressing differently from one another. While players provide their own cleats, it is preferred that they are black. Additionally, if players plan on wearing a mouthguard separate from the one provided by BMS, it should be BLACK, WHITE, GRAY, BLUE, OR CLEAR. No “binky” mouthguards. The same color requirements go for other optional practice/gameday wear such as gloves, sleeves and towels. Any player that can’t attend gear checkout will receive their gear after one of the first 3 practices.
Water Bottle: is a MUST at ALL practices. It should be 20oz or more, enough water to keep them hydrated on the field, and have their name cleared marked.
Football locks for locker room: Football players may provide their own combination lock for use on a locker, or they may request a school-provided loaner lock. Loaner locks must be returned at the end of the season. A $7 fee will be charged for any loaner lock that is not returned. To help protect personal belongings, athletes are strongly encouraged to keep all valuables and personal items secured in a locker whenever they are not in the locker room. Athletes who use a personal lock are responsible for remembering their combination. If a player is unable to open their lock when access is needed, the lock may need to be cut off the locker. In some situations, this may prevent the athlete from participating in practice if required equipment is locked inside. If a player has a phone, they are could take a photo of their lock combination, then coaches can assist athletes who are having difficulty accessing their locker.
Game schedule: will be posted to this website & emailed to families through Final Forms, once it is fully set with opponents.
Away Game Protocol: We ride to all games as a team. Players will dress in their uniforms prior to departure from BMS. For players to ride home with a guardian a Travel Release Form MUST be completed, stamped in the main office, and given to a coach prior to the game bus departing BMS. Dress in uniform before leaving BMS, meet outside locker rooms, then board the bus. Pack snacks. If a transportation issue arises we will do our best to communicate as soon as possible so that self-transport can be arranged.
