Professional Biography
I have moved to 8th grade Science from 7th grade math. I can now, hopefully, answer the question, "When am I ever going to use this!" There is a lot of math in science. I taught Biology at Concord High School in Concord, New Hampshire to begin my teaching career in 1996. I have been active in coaching basketball to youth and middle school teams. I worked in hospital laboratories as a Medical Technologist prior to teaching. I graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana where I also played college basketball. I earned a Masters degree in Environmental Education from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, New Hampshire. My husband and I live in Tumwater and have raised two wonderful children that attended Tumwater schools from kindergarten through graduation.
We will be using Amplify science curriculum as well as Project Lead the Way. We will also be adding many hands-on and outdoor experiences for students.
