This is a beginning course in Photography.  This course provides an introduction to various concepts in photography including: the history of photography, camera basics, composition, exposure, different styles of photography, lighting, copyright laws, and portfolio building.

Hello - Here is a little introduction for those wondering about my background. 

My Name is Tim Rogers. 2025-6 is my sevnth year at Bush. I was previously at Evergreen Christian School for four years as the Technology Specialist.

 

I moved to Olympia in the 80s from Portland, Oregon, where I was born. I graduated from Capital High School in the 90s and have a BA in Communications with a Video/Radio emphasis from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. 

I have a background in Technology, Graphic Design, Visual Production, Video, Web Design and Photography. I have over twenty years in industry in various communication and technology roles. I've held positions in Colorado Springs, Chicago & Peoria, IL, Athens, Greece and Olympia, WA. I started teaching at SPSCC college in 2006 and also was the Technology Specialist at Evergreen Christian School from 2015-2019. In 2021, I completed my State of Washington CTE Certificate from Bates College.

My family and I live in Tumwater and my wife works for an airline company as a flight attendant and ran/owned a preschool in Gig Harbor for over 20 years. I love Soccer and Photography and taking photos of nature, sports, Seniors and Families. I have and currently partner with many professional sports photography teams -  for high school teams - College - AAA Tacoma Rainiers and some professional sports. I am part of the Game Day staff for Seattle Sounders FC and won a national championship in soccer in college.
